Being one of the most sought after travel fairs in Singapore, the NATAS (The National Association of Travel Agents Singapore) Travel Fair is held twice annually – one is held in February/March and the other in August/September. NATAS brings together travel agencies, national tourism organizations, airlines, hotels, and a multi-faceted range of travel-related services to one venue. This grand showcase of the latest tour packages, travel trends, products and destinations presents to you a one-stop travel bargains shopping experience.

Earlier this year, the 2012 February NATAS Travel Fair attracted 62,871 visitors over three days. Despite a four per cent dip in attendance from last year, spending at the latest fair reached $100 million, exceeding last February's $90 million. The top five destinations were Europe, China, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea respectively.

You can take your time to walk around and compare the wide range of deals and packages. You can also grab itineraries at various booths, which will help in your research and planning of your dream holiday. Besides being able to see nearly all the Singapore tour agencies in the fair, you will also be able to find tourism boards. You can easily approach any of them to find out more details about their countries, in order to find your ideal holiday destination.

Due to the immense popularity of the event, the venue is usually packed and filled with crowds. It is highly advisable to get there by public transport. Otherwise, park your car one or two train stops away from the Singapore Expo to avoid a situation whereby there are no available parking lots. If you have insufficient time to explore the fair due to the crowd, you can always come back the next day – since the fair is held over three days. Otherwise, plan to either arrive as early as possible or near the closing time. This is when the fair is usually less crowded and you can look around at your own pace.
