This 8-day trip will get you well acquainted with Western Australia. Spend time in the city, exploring the malls, take a drive down south to the famous wine region of Margaret River, and take a hike through Torndirrup National Park to see the captivating geological structures of the Natural Bridge and The Gap.


Itinerary:

Day 1 PERTH
 
Upon arrival in Perth, pick up your car and drive yourself to your hotel. Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and exploring the city. You can shop at the malls in Murray and Hay Street with specialty stores, malls and shopping arcades, or visit the remarkable bushlands and tranquil parkland of King’s Park and the Botanical Gardens, a popular spot for picnic and cultural events. For a bit more active fun, you can hire a bicycle or a sail boat to explore the sparking Swan River.


Overnight in Perth

Day 2 MARGARET RIVER
 
Make your way down to world-famous wine region – Margaret River. It’s a leisurely drive through lush green hills, dotted with brooks, farmland and native trees. Your first stop will be at the Capel Vale region, located at the northern end of Margaret River, where you will commence your tour of fine foods and wines. Driving duration in this itinerary do not exceed 5 hours, you are free to take rest stops in between.

Perfectly situated between the farmlands and the coast, Margaret River offers visitors the best of farm produce as well as fresh seafood. A must-try local specialty is Marron, a small and tasty crustacean.

Take it easy as you stroll down the main street, exploring the shops, which sell everything from chocolates to wine. Then rest your feet at one of the numerous cafés, watching the world slowly pass you by.

A good way to end the day is with a bottle of wine, as you sit at your balcony, savouring the starry sky and forest sounds.

Day 3 MARGARET RIVER
 
Embark on your personalized full day tour of wineries, chocolate and cheese tastings. You won’t be taking the wheel today, instead you will be picked up from the hotel for the tour (we don’t want you doing any drink driving today). Choose a handful of wineries you would like to visit, and you can expect a whole day of wine tastings, gourmet lunch and indulge in local chocolates and exquisite cheeses. This is the day you will experience the region’s best offerings, taste award winning food and wine and visit some hidden treasures.

Day 4 ALBANY
 
From Margaret River, take a scenic coastal drive to Albany, passing by several national parks and a dramatic, ever changing coast line.

On arrival in Albany check into your hotel and then spend some time exploring Albany. You can start on your exploration of the town by shopping along York Street – one of the main shopping districts.

Day 5 ALBANY
 
Albany was the first colonial settlement in Western Australia and you can learn about its early history as you explore the town. You can see a replica of the Brig Amity – the ship sailed from Sydney under orders to form a colony at King George Sound and enjoy the amazing views of King George Sound and Princess Royal Harbour.

Take a drive out to Torndirrup National Park. See the amazing Natural Bridge sculpted by the southern ocean with a feature known as The Gap, formed by coastal granites. Listen to the waves thundering as they rush in and out, beware of the Blowholes as they occasionally spray water! You can do a lot of walking, sightseeing, photography and even fishing on this geological adventure at Torndirrup. There are several easy trails to follow and secrete havens and lookouts to discover. In winter, you can try spotting whales from the cliffs!

Overnight in Albany

Day 6 ALBANY
 
Today, the towering peaks of Stirling Range beckon. Just an hour away by car, the peaks stand out in contrast to flat farmland and is easily accessed by car. You can enjoy the scenery of the park in the comfort of your car. Famous for it’s stunning and unique wildflowers, as well as the diversity of plant species – some are unique to this region, you will encounter a blanket of flowers around you in spring, a truly magical sight. You can find Darwinia mountain bells and 123 orchid species.

If you are game for a serious trek into Stirling Range National Park to experience the flora and fauna and to climb Bluff Knoll, you can select the option to join a small group day tour with a guide. Walking into the ranges require a fair bit of preparation for weather and supplies.


Overnight in Albany


Day 7 PERTH
 
Today you will take a leisurely drive back to Perth. You choose to either take a scenic route back, or a direct highway speedy route.

On arrival in Perth you will drive to your hotel for the night.

Today you will drive to the airport for your return flight to Singapore.
