This short 8-day trip will provide you with a good mix of authentic wildlife experiences, scenic excursions as well as an insightful tour of Cape Town. The tour starts off with a brief stay in South Africa's largest city - Johannesburg, thereafter, you will fly to Kruger National Park as you try to catch sight of the Big 5, before ending up in Cape Town, where you will tour the city's higlights such as Robben Island, the Cape Peninsula and the Winelands. There is also an option to extend your trip to the majestic Victoria Falls, which is a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Day 1ARRIVE IN JOHANNESBURG
Upon arrival in Johannesburg, you will be received by your driver guide who will take you on a half-day tour of Soweto. If you are arriving in Johannesburg in the afternoon, or would rather take the first day easy to recover from a long flight, then pick the 1-night Johannesburg extension on the right. Your half-day tour will then begin on the second day.

Day 2JOHANNESBURG - KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
This morning, depart on the hotel courtesy shuttle to Johannesburg airport to catch your domestic flight to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport or Sabi Sabi airfield, depending on whether you have chosen the Comfortable or Indulgence accommodation option.
Upon touchdown, you will be met by your driver who will take you to your lodge located in the private game reserve. If there is sufficient time, lunch will be served upon your arrival.
In the late afternoon, go on the first of your game drives in an open-top 4WD vehicle. The game drive will continue into the early evening, giving you a chance to view some of the nocturnal animals.
Dinner is served back at the lodge.

Day 3KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Rise early this morning for a dawn game drive. Some light snacks and coffee will be prepared on the patio before you depart. After your game drive, return back to the lodge for a proper hearty breakfast and to rest.
Spend the rest of the day at leisure, lounging by the pool or enjoying the lodge's facilities. Lunch will be served at the lodge itself.
In the late afternoon, go on a game drive for another chance to try and spot the animals you've not yet seen. As per the previous day, the game drive will extend into the early evening.
Dinner awaits back at the lodge.

Day 4KRUGER NATIONAL PARK - CAPE TOWN
This morning, you will get your final chance on your 'hunt' for the Big Five. Return to the lodge for breakfast, after which, you will head to KMIA to catch your flight to Cape Town. If you are staying at Sabi Sabi or Singita, an air hop has been arranged to take you from the Sabi Sabi airfield to KMIA.
There is an option on this day for you to extend your holiday with a 2-night extension to visit the magnificent Victoria Falls. See full details and select option on right.
Upon arrival in Cape Town airport, your driver will pick you and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours at leisure. A Travel Pack will be given to you containing detailed instructions and information on sights, dining and shopping for you to conduct your own tour of the city.

Day 5CAPE TOWN
A half-day private tour of Robben Island has been arranged for you. Highlights on Robben Island include the maximum security prison, where you will find World War II fortifications and the tiny cell, where Nelson Mandela spent a large part of his life.
Enjoy a boat trip across Table Bay to the infamous maximum security prison, a chance to interact with an ex-political prisoner as well as a 45-minute bus ride (with commentary) of the facility. There will be some time to explore Murray's Bar Harbour precinct's attractions, such as the Muslim Shrine and the museum shop.
Back on the mainland, stroll along the Victoria & Alfred (V&A) waterfront, where you will be able to see numerous waterfront shops, craft markets and the Two Oceans Aquarium.

Soweto is a metropolis of more than 2 million people on the outskirts of Johannesburg and is a multi-cultural composite of South Africa today. The tour will give you a sneak peak into the past of South Africa's history and struggle for liberty.
In Soweto, you will stand on the only road in the world, Vilakazi Street, which carries the honour of having housed two recipients of the Nobel Peace Prize - Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu.
Other highlights of the tour include a visit to the Hector Pieterson Memorial - a symbol of resistance to the brutality of the apartheid government, Regina Mundi Church and Freedom Square, the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital and several community development projects.

Day 6CAPE TOWN
After breakfast, go on a full-day private tour of the Cape Peninsula. Depending on your personal interests, your driver will customise a programme for this day. Highlights of the Cape Peninsula include Clifton Beach, which has previously been rated as one of the top-10 beaches in the world; the fishing village of Hout Bay, where you can take a glass-bottomed boat to Seal Island; and Cape Point, which is the southernmost tip of the peninsula, with panoramic views of the surrounding sea and mountains. To get to the latter, you will follow Chapman’s Peak Drive – a winding 10 km road constantly rated as one of the best drives in the world, with cliffs plunging straight into the ocean.
If there is still time, you can drop by the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, one of the country's most famous gardens dedicated to preserving the country's indigenous flora.

Today, embark on a private tour of the Winelands. Highlights of the tour include a visit to Anura Wine Estate, for some wine and cheese tasting, the quaint town of Franschhoek nestled in the foothills of the surrounding Drakenstein Mountains, the historical town of Stellenbosch, as well as a visit to Waterford Wine Estate for more wine and chocolate sampling.
Expect scenic drives as you travel over the Helshoogte Pass, enjoying truly spectacular views of the Simonsberg Mountains, where the first export-quality fruit in South Africa was grown.
